Latest Classes and Activities 2008:
Aerial Equipment Inspection Training/Midtech Herbicide Right-of-Way Spray Truck Training Another Successful round of Classes at GDOT. In March of this year Aerial Lift inspection and Midtech Herbicide programs were once again conducted. Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting Program In the early spring, we finally resumed our Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting Program in Louisiana. We had been on hold since the hurricanes of 2005. Thank you LADOTD for your confidence and support. Servo Motors and Drives in the Process Control Industry We are excited about a new program that takes elements of our Process Control program, merging and customizing it with Servo Motors and Controls in the Process Industry. We conducted the first of the new version programs in May at a major beverage bottler, a well known world wide firm, in Michigan. We are slated for another session of this exciting and very successful program this summer.
Latest Classes and Activities 2007:
Aerial Equipment Inspection Training This is a new program that already has some miles on it as it was conducted all over Georgia for GDOT through the months of March and April of this year. This program covers the major points of inspection of Aerial Equipment such basket or bucket type trucks. Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical as well as structural issues are addressed. Midtech Herbicide Right-of-Way Spray Truck Training This is another new program covering the computerized spraying system using the MidTech (Teejet) TASC6600 series controllers for metered spraying of herbicides for right of way weed control. This program covers the overview, function and operation as well as maintenance of the entire system. NFPA 70E - Arc Flash and Burn View presentation This program translates the quagmire of terms, regulations and definitions of the NFPA 70E Arc Flash and Burn code into usable, plain english for industrial users. A custom lesson plan with illustrations and text designed for daily use after the class as well as use of visual aids and video clips clarifies this important but misunderstood subject.
