Antivirus 2009, not to be confused with legitimate products, is a rogue Trojan exploit. Be aware there are legitimate
products by Kaspersky, for example, that are OK.
The difference between this Trojan exploit and the real products is Antivirus 2009, the bogus trojan, will slam you and try to FORCE you to install it, and buy the product. NONE of the legitimate products will do such. The legitimate products are voluntary download, where you must usually go to the legitimate antivirus vendor's website and download his trial or buy product. There is NO extreme or abnormal pressure to force you to do so. Antivirus 2009 is an EXPLOIT, a hack/crack of an unexpecting website that redirects you to this trojan bogus ripoff. Its sole purpose is to scam you, make you think it is legitimate, then steal all your credit card numbers. It conducts phony scans, tells you that you have all kinds of spy and mal ware, then takes you to a purchase screen, which is a scam credit card site. If you fall prey to it and enter a credit card number It then returns a "card not valid" (while recording your number to defraud you), then asks for another credit card number. This process is repeated until all the card numbers you are willing to enter are reported not valid, it has recorded them and goes about stealing ever dollar, every bit of credit limit or other asset it can get its hands on!. The focus of this page is to briefly warn you of the exploit, but to also inform you to take action. Click out of (cancel)any scan screens or such and DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING! You will see screens that look like the real Windows security center, but they are BOGUS! DO NOT CLICK on the program installer! You WILL regret it! You will end up closing the page you were trying to reach, but that is a small price to prevent being infected with this thing. Here are some really good free version cleaners that are usually somewhat to completely effective in killing Antivirus 2009 if you are unfortunate enough to allow it to install: Malwarebytes Anti Malware Lavasoft Ad Aware Spybot S&D What I mainly want to leave with you is try to remember the address of the web site that sent you to Antivirus 2009. Email the webmaster and tell him while trying to download a file or follow a link from his site to another site, you got redirected to Antivirus 2009. The webmaster of the site that redirected you to AV2009 has probably been hacked. A little file in his website files called "htaccess" can get hacked by some scumball and then every time you try to download a data sheet or manual, you instead get this horrible Antivirus 2009 trying to scam you!. Usually most websites have a way to click on a webmaster link and email them. Take the time to do it!! If webmasters everywhere keep thier sites in good order, the spread of this plague would be greatly reduced! |
